Rachel Tribble’s award-winning, dream-like paintings have been commissioned by private collectors and corporations throughout the world. Her technique is a combination of influences from early in her career. Years of producing live performance art and color, light and sound oriented installation work for rock nightclubs and rave productions, and the influence of her life within the Native American culture, come together now to create imagery that focuses on nature, light and color.
Originally from Manhattan, Rachel moved to Minneapolis where she became known for her surreal installations and multi-media artwork. In the mid 1990’s Rachel took a hiatus from her work as a professional artist and lived and worked among the Native American people. Since then, she has returned to her traditional training as a painter, inspired by the journey she found herself on and the mystical world of the Anishinaabe and Lakota people.
In 2008 Rachel partnered with fishing boat captain, V.J. Bell to create BellFlower, a design studio dedicated to the promotion of nature-oriented art products for the Coastal, Garden and Stationary industries. BellFlower has been nationally recognized for its “Green Initiative” and the products are available at galleries, fine retailers, museum stores, and botanical gardens throughout the United States.
Both Rachel and BellFlower products have been featured in national magazines, and she has had exhibitions of her paintings in Florida, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York.
Rachel studied painting at Syracuse University and the National Academy of Design in New York.
She supports programs that focus on the well-being of children, the environment and sustainable energy initiatives. Such as, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Red Cross, Hospice, A.R.C., The New York Botanical Gardens, The Los Angeles. Arboretum, and others.
